meticulously she went to work pulling the seeds & cleaning away the muck until the pumpkin was empty

she laid them all out, clean as a whistle, dried 'em out, & then counted them 3 times, just to be sure

of course, she could not resist carvin' it up

and then stored the seeds in a jar for a future game not to be revealed ...
